Shine Cleaning Company ("Shine", "we", "us") operates shine.me.uk. This page explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how you can ask us to remove it.
Information you give us directly
When you use our quote request form, we collect the details you choose to provide: your name, phone number, email address, postcode/area, preferred date, a description of the job, and any photos you attach. We use this solely to prepare a quote and arrange your booking — it is never sold, and never used for anything beyond responding to your enquiry.
Our Instagram feed
Our "Our work" section displays recent posts from our own Instagram account, @shineccltd. This works by our server periodically retrieving our own public post content — images, captions and post links — directly from Instagram's API, and displaying it on this page.
This feature does not collect any information about you as a visitor. It does not use your Instagram account, does not require you to log in, and does not access or store data belonging to any Instagram user other than our own business account.
Cookies and tracking
This site does not use tracking or advertising cookies, and does not run third-party analytics.
How we store information
Quote request details are stored securely on our own servers and are only accessible to Shine staff. Photos submitted with a quote request are retained only as long as reasonably needed to complete or follow up on the enquiry, after which they are deleted.
Sharing your information
We do not sell or share your information with third parties, other than the services strictly necessary to run our business (for example, our email provider, used only to deliver messages you'd expect — such as confirming your quote).
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to access, correct, or delete any information we hold about you. Just email us using the details below.
Data deletion instructions
To request deletion of any personal data we hold about you — including quote request details or photos you've submitted — email info@shine-org.co.uk with "Data deletion request" in the subject line. We will confirm and complete removal within 14 days.
Note: our Instagram feed integration does not collect or store any personal data belonging to Instagram users, so there is nothing to delete in relation to that feature specifically — it only ever displays our own business's own public posts.
